名詞性從句的用法

名詞性從句是英語(yǔ)中常用的從句，分為主語(yǔ)從句、賓語(yǔ)從句、表語(yǔ)從句和同位語(yǔ)從句，各種從句的用法如下：

1. Subject Clause 主語(yǔ)從句

 引導(dǎo)詞：that, if/whether

That he’ll come tomorrow is known to us all.

Whether the work can be finished on time is doubtful.

wh—類(lèi)的連接代詞：what, who, whom, whose, whoever, whomever, whoseever, whatever；

Whoever will be in charge of the project hasn’t been decided yet.

wh—類(lèi)的連接副詞：when, where, how, why, whenever, wherever, however;

When he came yesterday is still a secret.

   It is + (名詞、形容詞、過(guò)去分詞）+主語(yǔ)從句

n  It is wildly acknowledged that education plays a rather important role in our sociey.

n  It is reported that the proportion of children who choose to watch sports decreased sharply in the past years.

常用句式：It is estimated/expected/wildly acknowledged /obvious/noted/reported that +從句

2. Object Clause 賓語(yǔ)從句

  在句子中起賓語(yǔ)作用的句子，分為三類(lèi)：動(dòng)詞的賓語(yǔ)；介詞的賓語(yǔ)；形容詞的賓語(yǔ)。

-- Some people think that it is better for children to learn a foreign language at primary school.

引導(dǎo)詞：that, whether, if, what, which, whose, when, where, how, why, who, as

n  I didn’t expect that he had broken the glass.

n  Can you tell me how many students there are in your class?

3. Predictive Clause 表語(yǔ)從句

  在句子中起表語(yǔ)作用的句子。

-- The reason is that students are too young to understand what is right or wrong.

常用句式：The reason is/The fact/truth/fact is / My view is / The first thing i want to mention is +that從句

引導(dǎo)詞：that, whether, if, what, which, whose, when, where, how, why, as if/as though

n  My view is that students should be encouraged to widen their horrizons.

n  They are just what the real society wants.

4. Apposition Clause 同位語(yǔ)從句

同位語(yǔ)從句對(duì)一些抽象名詞做進(jìn)一步的解釋和說(shuō)明。  

-- The possibility that most people will work at home is often discussed.

常用的抽象名詞： idea, fact, news, hope, belief, suggestion, proposal, wish, thought, doubt, truth, possibility, promise, order, explanation

引導(dǎo)詞：that, whether, if, who, what, which, when, where, how, why,

n  I have no idea when she will be back.

n  The question who should go abroad requires consideration.
