托福聽力題型：內(nèi)容主旨題

在托福聽力考試中，內(nèi)容主旨題是每一篇lecture必考的題目，它將會(huì)出現(xiàn)在每一篇lecture的第一題。這是相對簡單的題目，所以是我們的一個(gè)得分點(diǎn)。那么到底來如何拿好這一分呢，我們先來了解一下內(nèi)容主旨題的主要特點(diǎn)。主旨，顧名思義是要知道這一篇文章主要的內(nèi)容是什么，是全文的一個(gè)核心內(nèi)容。

內(nèi)容主旨典型提問方式
　　What aspect of X does the professor mainly discuss?
　　What are the speakers talking about?
　　What is the main idea of the lecture?
　　What problem does the man have?

內(nèi)容主旨題解題方法
　　一般情況下，lecture的開頭會(huì)先是復(fù)習(xí)段落，professor會(huì)先復(fù)習(xí)上一節(jié)課所出現(xiàn)的內(nèi)容，所以我們常會(huì)聽到we’ve been talking about .....或者last time we talked about ..... 這一段的內(nèi)容希望同學(xué)們?nèi)ヂ牎⑷ダ斫舛�不做任何的筆記，因?yàn)樯瞎?jié)課的內(nèi)容不是聽力的一個(gè)出題點(diǎn)并不會(huì)被考到，但是上節(jié)課的內(nèi)容有可能會(huì)和今天所講的內(nèi)容有一些關(guān)聯(lián)性，所以一定要認(rèn)真聽，可以給我們一些提示幫助我們理解或者猜測主旨內(nèi)容。

再接下來professor會(huì)引出今天的主旨，常見的信號詞有today we will talk about.../today we will discuss.../today we will look at.../today we will tell...這里所出現(xiàn)的信息希望同學(xué)們可以快速的記錄下來，就算這里給的是一個(gè)我們不認(rèn)識的專有詞也請根據(jù)這個(gè)單詞的讀音給出一個(gè)大概的拼寫或者用首字母來記錄，接下來教授一定會(huì)對這個(gè)專有詞或者這個(gè)主旨進(jìn)行解釋，而這個(gè)解釋段的內(nèi)容也一定用一兩個(gè)單詞記一下，因?yàn)楹苡锌赡苓@個(gè)解釋段才是主旨題的答案，而不是那個(gè)專有詞。

譬如 TPO17L2：
　　But today I'd like to talk a little bit about other theories that can explain variations in climate. And one of the best-known is called the Milankovitch Hypothesis.

Now what the Milankovitch Hypothesis is about? It says that variations in earth's movements, specifically in its orbit around the sun, these variations lead to differences in the amount of solar energy that reaches the earth.
And it is these differences in the amount of energy that's reaching earth from the sun; it is what causes variations in earth's climate.

我們先聽到了信號詞today I'd like to talk 然后我們聽到了一個(gè)專有詞 Milankovitch Hypothesis，我們不認(rèn)識Milankovitch Hypothesis，就可以記錄成MLKVC HYPO或者M(jìn) HYPO。然后緊接著又聽到了它的解釋段的內(nèi)容，我們需要記錄到movement /sun/climate 這些名詞就可以。

What is the lecture mainly about?
　　A hypothesis that explains how changes in Earth’s motions affect climate.
　　A hypothesis that explains why the shape of earth’s orbit varies over time.
　　Reasons it is difficult to find evidence to support hypotheses about the climate.
　　Analyses of the accuracy of data collected in different ways.

很明顯A是正確答案，但在這個(gè)答案里并沒有出現(xiàn)Milankovitch Hypothesis。所以主旨題里的解釋段是非常重要的。
